Luc René de la Villefromoy, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. René was born on the East Coast and spent part of his childhood in Australia before returning to the Midwest. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Madison before attending the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery with high distinction and graduated first in his class. Following dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Dr. René then returned to the University of Minnesota to complete specialty training in endodontics, earning a Certificate in Endodontics and a Master of Science degree while serving as Chief Resident. During his residency, his research focused on the use of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in endodontics to improve the diagnosis and monitoring of periapical disease.

Dr. René is a member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, Minnesota Association of Endodontists, and the American Association of Endodontists.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys cooking, music, travel, and spending time with friends and family.
